9 de janeiro, 22 horas, aterramos em Adelaide. A chuva a cair e o ar fresco lembram-nos que é quase Natal. O Pedro liga ao seu colega, o Matthew, para o informar que chegamos bem e estamos a caminho de casa dele. Espera... hoje é 9 de dezembro... a massa cinzenta do Pedro conseguiu dizer mal a data de chegada por um mês! Parece que o jetlag não faz bem à cabeça...
Por sorte, o Matthew e a Live estavam em casa e puderam acolher-nos na mesma. Para compensar, o Pedro fez panquecas para a família toda de manhã. Durante a tarde, a Noruega voltou em força! Afinal tivemos direito a um Natal nórdico, nem este ano falhou.
Com a barriga cheia de risgrøt, fomos visitar a cidade e nada melhor num dia chuva que ir ao South Australian Museum. Lá aprendemos muito sobre os aborígenes, os povos das ilhas do Pacífico, e ainda mais sobre a fauna australiana. As exibições não poupavam em informação, principalmente sobre todo o tipo de invertebrados. A Ana Teresa leva muitas ideias para o museu de Oslo!
No dia seguinte fomos buscar o nosso carro mistério. Saiu-nos um francês na rifa, um Peugeot 508 GT, o carro mais potente desta viagem (até agora). Vamos voar nele até Melbourne, onde nos espera a próxima carripana.

January 9th, 10 pm, we landed in Adelaide. The falling rain and the fresh air remind us that it's almost Christmas. Pedro calls his colleague, Matthew, to inform him that we arrived safely and are on our way to his house. Wait... today is December 9th... Pedro's grey matter managed to write the arrival date for a month later! It seems like jetlag isn't good for your head...
Luckily, Matthew and Live were at home and were able to welcome us anyway. To compensate, Pedro made pancakes for the whole family in the morning. During the afternoon, Norway came back in force! After all, we still had a Nordic Christmas, even on the other side of the world!
With our bellies full of risgrøt, we went to visit the city and nothing better on a rainy day than going to the South Australian Museum. There, we learned a lot about the Aborigines, the people of the Pacific Islands, and even more about the Australian fauna. The exhibits did not skimp on information, especially about all types of invertebrates. Ana Teresa has lots of ideas for the museum in Oslo!
The next day we went to pick up our mystery car. We got a Frenchie in the raffle, a Peugeot 508 GT, the most powerful car on this trip (so far). Let's fly it to Melbourne, where the next car awaits us.
